The platform
What do I get in a lab session?
A private AlmaLinux 10 server that only you can reach, with extra disks for storage tasks. It opens in your browser; there is nothing to install. When you finish, it is graded automatically and then destroyed.
Is this the official exam?
No. WinguLab is an independent practice platform. The tasks follow the same hands-on, performance-based style as the real system administration exams.
Is my work checked after a reboot?
Yes. Persistence is checked with a real reboot, so a change that doesn't survive a restart doesn't count, just like on a real exam.
My lab machine is taking a long time to start
Machines are created fresh for every session. If many people are practising at once you may be placed in a short queue. If it hasn't started after a few minutes, refresh the page and contact us if it persists.
Plans & trial
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. It has no time limit and needs no card. You get the starter lessons, the sample exam and one 30-minute lab machine per day. Upgrade to Practice for unlimited mock exams, or to Monthly, Yearly or the Exam Pass for the full Crash Course.
How does the Exam Pass work?
You pay once and get everything in Monthly for 90 days. Nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel. Buying another pass adds 90 more days.
What if I don't pass the real exam?
Contact us within 30 days of your exam with your score report while on a paid plan, and we'll add 30 days of access free so you can prepare for the retake.
Account & billing
How is payment handled?
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
